Many students complete learning about economic independence without giving a thought to philanthropy and what it really means. Students at Melbourne Girls' College endeavored to change this by setting up the Melbourne Girls’ College Student Foundation to control the distribution of the money they raised from their fundraising activities.

Our Mission Statement
We wish to further a society that values community and family based on compassion, trust, loyalty, truth, respect and honesty with equality of opportunity and rights for young women.
We will do this through supporting projects that address youth alienation, community safety, social disadvantage and equality of opportunity.
