Welcome! The Parents' Association is a friendly and welcoming gathering of parents and guardians who have a daughter at Melbourne Girls’ College.

Names and contact email forms for the PA committee members click here. Phone numbers for the committee members can be obtained from the College's general office: 9428 8955 The Parents' Association strongly believes in building a positive strong community that in turn enhances the encouraging community spirit that is an essential component in the all round education of our daughters.
Whilst your daughter was at primary school you were able to socialise with a cross section of your community and glean information by simply waiting at the school gate at drop off or pick up time. This opportunity to meet and mingle and pick up what’s going on in the school is not readily available at the secondary school level. Hence, this is where the Parents’ Association tries to bridge the gap. To this end, a number of social events are hosted throughout the year. Of course, another Parents’ Association venture is to raise funds to support the many opportunities that MGC offers our daughters that can only be offered by the extra funds raised by the community.
In light of events taking place at MGC e.g. the Community Fair, Trivia Night, Movie Night, Fathers' Day Breakfasts, there is indisputable evidence of the vibrant community that already exists at MGC. The outstanding generosity of our MGC community in the gifts of talents and time and good will including the plethora of physical donations of goods offered is very precious. It is this amazing community spirit that is swelling within our midst that is adding more than just new toilets, telescopes, computer equipment, funding for special events, but adding a positive spirit that unites us.
The Parents' Association welcomes new members constantly. The unique nature of this group allows you the freedom to attend whatever meetings you can and to put your hand up to help out with however much you can – every little bit helps.
We are looking forward to meeting you at a future meeting of the Parents' Association.
PA Fundraising at work Thank you to everyone who purchased raffle tickets or helped to raise money for the school in any way during 2012. Twice a year the Parents' Association allocates this fundraising money in the form of grants to various areas of the school to run special programs and purchase equipment. The second round of fundraising grants has just been allocated and will be spent in the first half of 2013.
