At Melbourne Girls’ College, the Sport Aerobics Program aims to inspire students to participate in a fun, dynamic & exciting physical activity program and increase their physical, emotional & social Health.
 

THE MGC AEROBICS PAGES HAVE BEEN UPDATED WITH CURRENT INFORMATION FOR THE 2013 AEROBICS PROGRAM!!


The program aims to give students the opportunity to improve their Health and Fitness and enhance their self-esteem and well-being through:

  • Increased fitness: CV fitness, strength, coordination, flexibility, agility
  • Teamwork: working with other students to create and perform routine
  • Leadership: coaching opportunities and teaching other students skills Goal setting: individual and team goals are set throughout the year
  • Decision making ability: Work with team members to choreograph routine
  • Organisation: Preparation for competitions and training
  • Commitment: To MGC squad, attend training and to her team
  • Confidence: Performing at competitions and achieving goals
  • Achievement: Striving for their best at competitions and learning new skills
     

Please note that the Levels have changed their names this year:

  • Level 3-previously Level 1 in 2012
  • Level 4-previously Level 2 in 2012
  • Level 5-previously Level 3 in 2012
  • Level 6-previously National B in 2012
     

MGC Aerobics Program:


MGC offers Yr 7 - 12 students the opportunity to participate in a High Performance Competitive Program as well as a Recreation Program which focuses on fun and participation.
